Sweet! Welcome to our vlogland.. Thank you for sharing this with us.. NO MORE HEARING IMPAIRED AND HEARING LOSS!!! We all are proud Deaf people!! If we see Deaf people who are so stuck with pathological view. We work with them and to bring them into Cultural view. We educate people not to use hearing loss or hearing impaired. You Rock!

My Sweetie Isabella,

You are right we have a big task of educating others about using the proper label. I think the problem here is the Webster's Dictionary does not have "Deaf" in it. I mean with capital "D" so people think HI is the next best word.

Also some Deaf people rather to be called HI it is an identity issue. Many of Deafies grew up with the stigma that Deaf is bad. So we need to educate both the hearing and the Deaf.

Keep on Vlogging

Hi Isabella! Welcome to vlog world! I agree with you that "hearing impaired" is bad. Sounds like our ears have problem and need to fix it. That is so funny to called us hearing impaired! I agree with your dad's comment.

Welcome to a v/blogging world! I agree with you that we Deaf should not be called "hearing impaired". I'm proud to be deaf. When I got involved in a car accident in 1988, I reacted when the young man asked me if I was hearing impaired when I told him that I was DEAF (I can speak). We need to continue to educating hearing people.
Tell your parents that they are blessed to have a beautiful daughter like you.
